HOW TO GET TO KANHAThere are daily flights from Delhi and Mumbai to Jabalpur from where it is a 2½ hour drive (160 kms) to Kipling Camp. There are also daily flights from Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Kolkata to Nagpur (a 260 km, 5½ hr drive). From Jabalpur there is also a direct flight to Indore. There are good overnight trains to Jabalpur (the nearest railhead) and Nagpur. |
TRANSPORTChauffeur-driven hire cars (usually air-conditioned Toyota Innovas) can be arranged to meet guests at Jabalpur, Nagpur, Bilaspur, Band- havgarh, Pench, etc. Kipling Camp has comfortable 4WD Gypsys to take guests on safaris inside Kanha National Park and Tiger Reserve. |
FROM NEW DELHIDaily non-stop flights to Jabalpur on Kingfisher Airlines, and 3 flights a week on Air India. A number of airlines also have daily flights from Delhi to Nagpur. There are good overnight trains from Delhi to Jabalpur - the Gondwana Express is the best (dep.14:30 arr. 6:10). |
